Don’t be discouraged or dismayed when things don’t happen as quickly as you’d like.
This rock was shaped from thousands of years of wind chipping away at it. It didn’t happen over night.
Change in the rock wasn’t noticeable day to day, but over time the change was drastic!
We are like rocks and wind is our habits. They mold us into who we are. Unlike this rock we can decide how we are molded and shaped. By creating good or bad habits we decide what shape we take and how our lives will unfold.
Just a little thought this Sunday as you set your intentions for the week to come. Think about doing the little things right because they usually end up being the big things over time!
The most important thing when it comes to achieving any goal is CONSISTENCY! We just recently finished our six week summer shred here at @fitnessculturetraining, and it’s amazing to see what people did in a relative short amount of time. Now great physiques aren’t built in six weeks or even six months, but it starts with being consistent. You can’t achieve greatness in anything unless you start. And nobody starts a race at the half way mark.
Start today by creating great habits, and nonnegotiable‘s that will carry you further and any sort term extrinsic motivation or fad diet.
Wake up at the same time each day, train at the same time, eat according to your goals and get enough sleep! All these things aren’t always fun, but are very important when it comes to consistency!
Reading through the comments section after I posted this photo and was grateful for @michaelsulla ! Bringing up such an important point, and one I often overlook. We are human and we will screw up from time to time. It’s important to realize this! Forgiving the person in the mirror is something we all could do more of. We’re not here to be perfect, but remember succeeding is standing up just one more time than falling down.
